ADEV\u0102RUL<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Valea Oltului a fost folosit\u0103 \u00eenc\u0103 din cele mai vechi timpuri ca rut\u0103 de trecere a Mun\u021bilor Carpa\u021bi. Defileul s\u0103u, \u00eentins pe aproape 50 de kilometri \u00eentre Turnu Ro\u0219u \u0219i Cozia (C\u0103lim\u0103ne\u0219ti), a fost ales de romani pentru a \u00eenainta \u00een Dacia, \u00een timpul r\u0103zboaielor daco-romane.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Drumul prin Defileul Oltului, folosit de secole<\/h2>\n<p>Dup\u0103 transformarea Daciei \u00een provincie roman\u0103, anticii au construit pe Valea Oltului un drum, pe alocuri suspendat pe b\u00e2rne \u00eempl\u00e2ntate \u00een versan\u021bi. La \u00eenceputul secolului al XVIII-lea, dup\u0103 ce Oltenia a ajuns sub st\u0103p\u00e2nirea habsburgilor, drumul de pe Valea Oltului, a fost reamanajat, primind numele de Via Carolina. <\/p>\n<p><i>\u201eCea dint\u00e2i \u00eengrijire a guvernului Austriei, lu\u00e2nd in posesiune Oltenia (1718) a fost de a uni prin comunica\u0163iuni mutuale Dacia Alpestr\u0103 (Transilvania) cu Dacia de mijloc (Oltenia). De aceea, pe de-o parte a pus a se cur\u0103\u0163i albia Oltului de st\u00e2ncile care \u00eempiedicau orice transport de ap\u0103, iar pe de alta s\u0103 deschid\u0103 cu multe greut\u0103\u0163i Via Carolina, care mergea de la Turnu Ro\u015fu p\u00e2n\u0103 la Bogd\u0103ne\u0219ti, aproape de R\u00e2mnicu-V\u00e2lcea\u201d<\/i>,  informa revista Familia, \u00een 1890.<\/p>\n<p>Lucr\u0103rile la drumul din Valea Oltului au fost reluate la sf\u00e2r\u0219itul secolului al XIX-lea, iar \u0219oseaua DN 7, a fost modernizat\u0103 \u00een secolul XX. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/adevarul.ro\/stil-de-viata\/calatorii\/cum-a-fost-construita-soseaua-de-pe-valea-oltului-2373606.html\">Drumul care str\u0103bate defileul a <\/a>devenit \u00een ultimele decenii una dintre cele mai tranzitate artere rutiere din Rom\u00e2nia. \u00cen anii urm\u0103tori, DN 7 va fi dublat de Autostrada Sibiu\u2013Pite\u0219ti, aflat\u0103 \u00een construc\u021bie. Autostrada A1 intr\u0103 pe Valea Oltului la Boi\u021ba \u0219i, urm\u00e2nd cursul r\u00e2ului, cote\u0219te spre est, \u00een dreptul m\u0103n\u0103stirii Cornet, urc\u00e2nd pe Valea B\u0103ia\u0219ului, \u00een direc\u021bia Curtea de Arge\u0219.<\/p>\n<h2>Defileul Oltului, dificil de navigat<\/h2>\n<p>Defileul Oltului s-a dovedit o provocare pentru naviga\u021bie din cauza reliefului accidentat, a curen\u021bilor puternici, a pragurilor st\u00e2ncoase \u0219i a \u00eengustimii v\u0103ii \u00een unele locuri. \u00cen anumite perioade \u0219i pe unele segmente, putea fi str\u0103b\u0103tut de vase u\u0219oare, iar la sf\u00e2r\u0219itul secolului al XIX-lea a fost sus\u021binut\u0103 transformarea defileului \u00eentr-un canal navigabil.<\/p>\n<div \u00een aval, chiar \u00een starea lui actual\u0103, fiind necesare doar \u00een dou\u0103-trei puncte unele lucr\u0103ri de cur\u0103\u021bare \u0219i ad\u00e2ncire prin explozia c\u00e2torva bolovani mari \u0219i col\u021bi de st\u00e2nc\u0103, r\u0103ma\u0219i ascun\u0219i pe fundul albiei. Naviga\u021bia \u00een amonte \u00eens\u0103 este mai dificil\u0103. Guvernul austriac, cel rusesc \u0219i comercian\u021bii sibieni au recunoscut unanim importan\u021ba economic\u0103 a naviga\u021biei pe Olt, \u00een timp ce \u00een Rom\u00e2nia guvernele \u0219i proprietarii riverani s-au dezinteresat complet de el, de\u0219i ar merita aten\u021bie \u00eenaintea multor cheiuri \u0219i altor fragmente de c\u0103i ferate\u201d, <\/i>nota dr. George Maior, \u00een 1901, unul dintre cei mai aprecia\u021bi intelectuali rom\u00e2ni ai epocii.<\/p>\n<p>Amenajarea v\u0103ii Oltului ca arter\u0103 navigabil\u0103 nu a mai avut loc, aceasta dovedindu-se mai valoroas\u0103 pentru amenaj\u0103rile hidroenergetice, \u00eencepute \u00een anii \u201960. \u00cen schimb, din 1901, defileul este traversat de unul dintre cele mai spectaculoase trasee feroviare din Rom\u00e2nia.<\/p>\n<h2>Cum a fost construit\u0103 calea ferat\u0103 din Defileul Oltului<\/h2>\n<p>Linia ferat\u0103 din zona montan\u0103 a Oltului, \u00eentre localit\u0103\u021bile Turnu Ro\u0219u \u0219i C\u0103lim\u0103ne\u0219ti (Cozia), a fost construit\u0103 \u00eentre anii 1896 \u0219i 1901, lucr\u0103rile fiind coordonate de Direc\u021bia General\u0103 C.F.R. din Regatul Rom\u00e2niei. <\/p>\n<p>Statul rom\u00e2n \u0219i cel austro-ungar semnaser\u0103 \u00eenc\u0103 din 1891 o conven\u021bie privind jonc\u021biunea re\u021belei feroviare din Transilvania \u0219i a celei din Rom\u00e2nia, la Turnu Ro\u0219u, atunci un punct vamal, \u00eens\u0103 construc\u021bia liniei ferate din defileu, care avea s\u0103 scurteze drumul dinspre Sibiu spre Bucure\u0219ti, a \u00eent\u00e2mpinat mai multe am\u00e2n\u0103ri.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div><picture loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1400\" height=\"750\" alt=\"Punctul vamal din Turnu Ro\u0219u. Sursa: Fortepan  UWM Libraries<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Ruta are o lungime de 40 de kilometri \u0219i lega regiunile istorice Transilvania \u0219i \u021aara Rom\u00e2neasc\u0103. Ea a fost proiectat\u0103 de Mihail R\u00e2mniceanu \u0219i Gheorghe Panait \u0219i a fost inaugurat\u0103 la 1 august 1901. <\/p>\n<p>Traseul ei trece prin micile localit\u0103\u021bi Turnu Ro\u0219u, Racovi\u021ba, C\u00e2ineni, Cornet, Robe\u0219ti, Gura Lotrului, Lotru, C\u0103lim\u0103ne\u0219ti, \u00een\u0219irate pe valea Oltului, \u00eentr-un relief dificil. Pe traseu au fost construite zece tuneluri \u0219i 18 poduri metalice, cel mai spectaculos dintre acestea fiind cel de la Proieni, aflat pe lista monumentelor istorice.<\/p>\n<p>Podul peste Olt de la Proieni are o poveste aparte. A fost proiectat de Mihail R\u00e2mniceanu, diplomat al \u0218colii de Poduri din Paris, iar structura sa a fost realizat\u0103 \u00een 1899 la atelierele din capitala Fran\u021bei, constructorul fiind cel care s-a ocupat de transportul \u0219i asamblarea podului, lucrare \u00een urma c\u0103reia a emis garan\u021bia de func\u021bionare \u0219i rezisten\u021b\u0103 pentru urm\u0103torii 100 de ani.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201eLa vremea respectiv\u0103 era singurul pod construit \u00een curb\u0103, cu p\u0103r\u021bile laterale \u00een X sau Y, peste un r\u00e2u. Se spune c\u0103 a fost adus pe \u201ebuc\u0103\u021bi\u201d, de care cu boi, tocmai de la Paris\u201d,<\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/adevarul.ro\/stiri-locale\/ramnicu-valcea\/foto-povestea-podului-cu-nit-de-aur-din-valea-2027603.html\">preciza prof. dr. Florin Epure.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dup\u0103 1990, podul a fost dezafectat, iar capetele sale au fost demontate, astfel \u00eenc\u00e2t s\u0103 fie prevenit\u0103 urcarea pe el. \u00cen imediata vecin\u0103tate a sa a fost construit un nou pod.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u0103turi de podul curb de la Proieni, \u00eenlocuit din anii \u201990 de un pod modern, au mai fost declarate monumente istorice \u0219i tunelul de la Cornet, precum \u0219i g\u0103rile C\u0103lim\u0103ne\u0219ti, Lotru \u0219i Cornet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00cen prezent, linia ferat\u0103 din defileu face parte din magistrala 200 Sibiu \u2013 R\u00e2mnicu V\u00e2lcea \u2013 Piatra Olt \u2013 Craiova, \u00eens\u0103 tronsonul este mai pu\u021bin circulat de trenuri.
